Show World (Japanese Edition)

Before Show World was released, Jeffrey and his wife Charlotte (ex Go-Go's) had a daughter in 1995. As he was a huge fan of the Beatles he named her Astrid. And he worked on a solo album which will be released soon. Steven produced Imperial Teen - Roddy Bottom's (Faith No More) side project. Eddie worked with a power pop band in Los Angeles called Fuzz Bubble. Brian played on an album by many drummers; Dave Grohl, Steven Perkins (ex Jane's Addiction) Dale Crover (Melvins) etc. It's a pity that Gere left the band after this album. She is now working on movie soundtracks and the other members understand that well. Now Redd Kross are all male.

Show World was up in the summer of 1996 and supposed to be out sometime in fall, but Jeffrey got ill and it got impossible to promote the album, so they decided to wait to release it. It is different from the album they were going to release last year. It has some different songs and the order of the songs are changed, too. The producer is Chris Shaw who produced Soul Asylum's Grave Dancers Union and he worked as an engineer on Weezer's self-titled album.

Only the first song Pretty Please Me is a cover. The original is by a band called Quick, a Los Angeles band in 70's. This song is on an album called Mondo Deco (1977).

    Other facts:
  1. 8 years old Steven welcomed the debut of New York Dolls.
  2. They went to see shows with Greg Ginn (Black Flag) often and they wrote a song together.
  3. And Thurston Moore stole the song on (2) !
  4. Mark Arm raved about their first album and Thurston Moore said that it was so ahead of the time.
  5. 16 year old Jeffrey and 12 year old Steven opened for the Germs.
